Thales Navigation DG14/16 Receiver

The DG14/16 from Thales Navigation is a L1 GPS receiver with 12 L1 code and carrier channels. The DG14/16 is available as a board and as a sensor. From a functional point of view, the DG16 receiver consists of two major sections: The radio frequency (RF) section, and the digital section, where the signals from the GPS satellites are converted to digital format and processed. Both the board and sensor versions of the DG16 have three RS-232 input/output (I/O) ports capable of two-way communication with external equipment, and a coaxial RF port for the antenna.

DG16 has better signal tracking and offers Edge™ and Strobe Correlator™  technologies for multipath mitigation and better accuracy. It also features improved in-band and out-of-band interference rejection capabilities. For best performance, DG14/16 can also be configured to use a Kalman filter with user selectable dynamic modes to match user operating conditions

Also supported by the DG14/16 is multi-reference station processing using a WADGPS algorithm which can provide a position solution using differential corrections from a network of up to 24 base stations.
