Z-Family receivers from Thales Navigation are high-precision dual-frequency (L1/L2) GPS receivers built for the most demanding guidance, navigation and positioning uses. The Z-Family receivers guarantee reliable and accurate centimeter-level positions. The Z-Family of GPS receivers include the Z-Xtreme receiver, Z-Surveyor, Z-FX, Z-Sensor, Z-Eurocard, ZX-Sensor, and ZX-Eurocard.

The Z-Family receiver is the newest generation of the Ashtech Z-12 receiver. The Z-Family receiver tracks all the available signals from GPS satellites, both C/A and P code, both L1 and L2 frequencies, whether AS (Anti-Spoofing) is on or off. The Z-Family has been built specifically with real-time industrial applications in mind, such as machine control in construction, mining, and precision agriculture; as well as precision navigation applications like docking, and dredging. They also provide positions at the high update rates and low latencies required in control applications.
