Verify DP is a software product developed by Veripos that has been designed specifically for DP operators and navigation users who need to quickly and effectively assess the quality of their positioning.
Normally, positioning QC software is designed to provide very comprehensive quality information to the highest level of detail as well as having analysis capabilities, this often results in the software being complex to operate. This is well and good when the user has the time and opportunity to carry this out, but in real-time operations, such as Dynamic Positioning, this time is not usually available as the consequences of positioning problems are immediate and therefore so are the subsequent required decisions.
Verify DP aims to address this requirement by offering a graphical display of essential position quality information and in a prominent and easy to understand format. Easy to use, the software has been designed to keep operator intervention to a minimum and to permit a fast and easy assessment of the current positioning status. A fixed graphical display provides pertinent information regarding the calculated DGPS solution and associated received differential corrections. The software generates alarms on all key positioning parameters as well as software function status and to provide flexibility across different scenarios, alarm thresholds are user configurable.
Verify DP software runs onboard the Veripos LD2 integrated mobile unit and therefore does not require a separate computer and all its associated cabling, all that is required is a VGA monitor which connects directly to the LD2. A mouse and keyboard can also be connected, which are required for configuration purposes.
