VERIPOS Standard GLONASS is an extension of the VERIPOS Standard service designed to increase the availability of GNSS observations during periods of local masking, ionospheric scintillation or general poor GPS geometry.

Although VERIPOS Standard GLONASS can be used as a stand-alone solution where satellite availability permits, it is primarily designed to augment the VERIPOS Standard DGPS solution. Operating in a similar manner to VERIPOS Standard, pseudo-range corrections are derived using the equivalent C/A code and carrier phase measurements for all GLONASS satellites in view. These are then broadcast over multiple high and low power delivery satellites. Corrections, which are encoded in standard RTCM format, can be used directly with compatible GNSS equipment, or alternatively, with external processing software, such as VERIPOS Verify QC.

Position accuracy of the combined solution is at the metre level and is similar to normal VERIPOS Standard. However, the main feature of this service is the ability to integrate GLONASS, an independent GNSS system, with GPS to significantly increase observation redundancy and provide more robust positioning.

Corrections for the VERIPOS Standard GLONASS service can be received using any VERIPOS demodulator capable of receiving the VERIPOS Standard service.
